This page explains how to delete specific data from your BeyondWalls account while keeping your account active. If you want to delete your entire account and all associated data, visit our Account Deletion page.
What Data Can Be Deleted?
You can request deletion of specific data from your BeyondWalls account without removing your entire account. This includes:
- Individual child profiles: Remove a specific child's profile and all associated learning data
- Learning activities: Delete specific activities or date ranges of activities
- Photos and evidence: Remove specific uploaded images or all photos for a child
- Goals and rewards: Clear goals, chores, or stars data for a specific child
- Reading logs: Remove reading records for a specific child or date range
- Location data: Delete device session and location tracking history
- Scheduled activities: Remove planned activities from calendar
What Data Is Kept?
When you request partial data deletion, your account remains active and the following data is retained:
- Your parent account: Email address, password, and account settings
- Other child profiles: Data for children not included in the deletion request
- Subscription information: Payment history and subscription status
- Account activity logs: Login history and security events (retained for 90 days)
Data Retention Period
Once you request specific data deletion:
- Active deletion: Requested data is removed from active systems within 30 days
- Backup purging: Data is permanently purged from backup systems within 90 days
- No recovery: Deleted data cannot be recovered or restored
How to Request Data Deletion
Email Request Process
To request deletion of specific data from your BeyondWalls account:
- Send an email to: privacy@beyondwalls.app
- Include your registered email address
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Clearly specify which data you want deleted:
- Child profile name(s) if applicable
- Date range for activities or logs
- Specific data types (photos, goals, location data, etc.)
- We will verify your identity and process your request
- You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete
⏱ Processing time: Within 30 days of receiving your request
Example Data Deletion Requests
Example 1: Delete a Child Profile
"Please delete the profile for my child [Child Name] and all associated learning activities, photos, and progress data."
Example 2: Delete Photos Only
"Please delete all uploaded photos for [Child Name] from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025. Keep all other learning data."
Example 3: Delete Location Data
"Please delete all location tracking data and device session history from my account."
